An autocycle is a mix between a car and motorcycle. While the autocycle is technically classified as a type of motorcycle, you’ll see it’s very different than the typical motorcycle that comes to mind.
For example, autocycles:
- Have three wheels—typically two wheels in the front and one wheel in the back.
- Are typically driven using a steering wheel with foot pedals for brakes and gas like a car vs. a motorcycle, which is controlled with the handlebars. However, there are some autocycles that offer handlebar control if you prefer that.
- Can have bucket-style seats like a car vs. a motorcycle, which always has a straddle seat for the rider.
- Can come equipped with an enclosed roof or open air like traditional motorcycles.
Autocycles are very customizable, so depending on what you’re looking for, there’s likely an autocycle out there for you.
Is a license required to drive an autocycle?
